Using Text in Photoshop

This photograph of an icy puddle was taken on the Notch Road in Jeffersonville, VT. I cropped the image and added the text with a drop shadow to highlight the words. I really like the reflection of the tree branches offset with the frozen dog tracks.

  1. Nicely done! The photo provides an excellent background for the Thoreau quote. Changing the photo to black and white and cropping it accentuate the texture in the image. One small suggestion would be to make the type stand out more either by making it bigger on perhaps making it white? The font used is lovely and sensitive as is the overall feel to this piece.

    1. I actually did not change it to black and white, that is just the color of the icy puddle, I did crop it though. I did try White text and it just didn't look right, I agree it should be larger though.
      Thanks!
